Expecting to launch later this spring, the School Choice Hub will allow families to:

  • Explore public and private school options, including district-run public schools, charter schools, and private schools.
  • Access clear information about scholarships and tax credits for private school tuition and fees.
  • Learn about specialized school programs, such as career and technical education, STEM, classical education, and faith-based options.
  • Discover community-based learning programs from local libraries

“Families need clear information about the schools available to them,” said Secretary of Education Daniel Hamlin, who is helping to lead the effort. “Some families don’t know that Oklahoma has scholarship and tax credit programs that they can use to send their children to private schools, much less how to apply for these funds. The new hub is going to help us address this problem.”

“Parents have more choices than ever, and that can be overwhelming. We’re here to demystify those choices so every parent can confidently pursue a great education for their child,” said Jon Deane, CEO of GreatSchools. “For over 25 years, Oklahomans have trusted GreatSchools.org to provide high-quality education information. This partnership allows us to take that one step further, helping families discover the right fit for their child, wherever that may be.”

GreatSchools is a nationally recognized nonprofit that helps more than 40 million American families each year make confident, informed decisions about their child’s education. By partnering with GreatSchools, Oklahoma aims to ensure that all families have access to high-quality information when considering schools for their children.
